ToggleWhat Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a government-funded initiative aimed at helping low- to moderate-income Canadians access essential dental services. It’s being rolled out in stages and covers eligible individuals who do not have access to private dental insurance.
The program is designed to ease the financial burden of dental care by covering a wide range of services, from cleanings and checkups to fillings, extractions, and more.
Who Qualifies for CDCP?
You may qualify for the CDCP if:
-
You do not have private dental insurance
-
Your family net income is below $90,000
-
You are a Canadian resident
-
You have filed your most recent tax return
The coverage amount is based on your income:
-
100% coverage for those earning under $70,000
-
Partial coverage (60% to 90%) for incomes between $70,000 and $89,999
Check your eligibility and apply directly through the Government of Canada’s website.
