Northern Niagara Dentistry SERVICES:
At Northern Niagara Dentistry, we provide a wide range of services that cover routine, advanced, and orthodontic techniques based an honest assessment of our patients’ current oral health.
Tooth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that treats teeth that have been stained by food, drinks or medication. The result is a beautiful smile and the renewed confidence that comes with it.
Veneers are a very thin shell, made of resin or porcelain, that are attached to the front of the tooth. The result is improved strength, shape, and the overall appearance of the tooth. The colour is selected based on the patient’s preference and the procedure is typically completed after 1 – 2 visits
A bridge is an artificial tooth, custom-made and placed permanently in the mouth to close a gap where a tooth or set of teeth are missing. It’s recommended if you have strong, natural teether surrounding a gap. It can be placed between two crowns or can be anchored with dental implants.
A crown is used to repair a damaged tooth or provide additional support to a weekend tooth. Like a sleeve, it’s placed over the damaged tooth for support and protection. Once in place, the crown looks and feels just like a natural tooth.
Implant surgeries and restorations
An implant begins with an artificial root made from titanium metal. Once in place, an artificial replacement tooth is attached to the implant functioning as an anchor. Implant surgeries are quite common and one of the better options for replacing a missing tooth.
Dentures are artificial teeth that are created to look like natural teeth in instances where the existing teeth have decayed or are not strong enough to accommodate a bridge or crown. Dentures are custom-made and can be easily removed for cleaning. Northern Niagara Dentistry is pleased to offer dentures as an option for our clients.
Braces are an orthodontic device placed on the patient’s teeth to gently straighten them over time. They’re monitored for progress and are removed once the desired straightness has been achieved.
Often recommended for adults, Invisalign functions like traditional braces but is far less noticeable in the mouth. The procedure will gently pull teeth into proper alignment and gives the patient a straighter, healthier smile.
Full mouth rehabilitation
Full mouth rehabilitation is an advanced procedure where all teeth are reconstructed for cosmetic and oral health reasons.
A filling can be used to seal or a repair a tooth when it’s cracked, broker, or showing signs of decay. Performing fillings is typically a quick procedure and is relatively painless. Once done, the filling will look and feel like a natural part of the tooth.
In instances where a tooth is broken or cracked, decaying, or diseased, an extraction may be the best solution. At Northern Niagara Dentistry, we have several options for replacing extracted teeth, including dentures, bridges, and implants.
Cleanings are a routine procedure that allow hygienists to keep a close eye on your oral health and inspect the teeth and gums for signs of decay, damage, or even cancer. Frequent cleanings are important in preventing gum disease which has been tied to health problems, including heart disease and diabetes.
Regular dentist checkups are essential for a child’s oral health. At Northern Niagara Dentistry, we monitor children’s teeth and gums are monitored and ensure they’re treated as they grow and develop. We welcome families at our clinic with children of all ages.
